Local Colors has been championing ethnic diversity for over 30 years.

Founder Pearl Fu established the organization in 1991, envisioning a Roanoke Valley which valued every ethnicity. Since then, Local Colors has grown to be the premier multicultural program in the region. Our Local Colors Festival highlights cultures from around the world every third Saturday of May, with over 50 nationalities represented. Other events throughout the year provide a unique platform for specific cultures to be experienced.

Local Colors champions ethnic diversity that builds a better community for all. We partner with schools, local businesses, community partners, and the international community to break down silos and create harmony.

Stay connected to your community and roots.
